Covid scams – what to watch out for

Dear patients,

As you will probably know, we are currently working hard to give the Covid-19 vaccination to all eligible patients. Please do not contact us about getting vaccinated – everyone will be invited in due course, and we will not leave anybody out.

We have been made aware that some fraudsters may have been using the pandemic to target people, sending false messages which pretend to offer appointments. In these false messages, people may be asked to provide their bank details to verify their identity.

Please note - no part of the NHS will ever ask for your bank details. If you receive a message which appears to be from the NHS but which asks for financial information, it will be a hoax. More information and advice can be found here.

We will be in touch with all eligible patients about getting the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as we can. In the meantime, please remember do keep doing the basics to help protect yourself and those around you – wash your hands, cover your face, give others space
